The brief was to convert and refurbish the existing house into a new Rectory. The existing house needed opening up and the grounds re-landscaped, including the felling of trees, to accommodate new car parking.
Work included the removal of asbestos and the construction of a new side extension, to house a dining area for family and entertaining purposes. By removing unwanted walls, a new kitchen was formed with a breakfast bar for day to day use. The ground floor also included a new ensuite bathroom serving the master bedroom, as well as a new shower room. The lower ground floor was converted from a bedroom into a new study and secretary's office. A disabled toilet was also installed at the same time. On the first floor, the bedrooms were insulated and re-decorated, with a new refurbished shower to the bathroom. Landscaping included opening up the existing driveway for more car parking.
