A three storey block replaced a former Edwardian house accommodating seven bedsits. Nine flats of traditional construction were built on the footprint of the previous detached structure, with sympathetic materials and partial tile cladding used to marry up with adjoining properties. The third floor is an intricate structure that incorporates large overhanging eaves, bay wndows, and complex roof trusses to accommodate the associated living areas. An eight person lift serves the upper floors. The three ground floor flats are fitted with accessible kitchens, electronic door opening systems, nurse call, variable height kitchen units, shower and toilet wet rooms. The circulation areas of each of the three floors are decorated in different colours, with light fittings of similar coloured surrounds, to assist recognition of each floor.
